Young squash player Asim Khan shared that he hasn't been paid his salary by his department - Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) - for the last five months.
Taking to Twitter, Hamza shared his concern and questioned the support athletes get in Pakistan.
"It's been 5 months already and I didn't get my salary this is happening for a few years. How are we supposed to Roshan Pakistan’s name if we don't get what we deserve, at least pay our salary and then demand medals?" he wrote.
Asim, who is currently number one squash player in the country, recently participated in the Life Time Johns Creek Open in the USA.
Top seed Asim defeated unseeded Carlos Vargas from Mexico 11-9, 11-3, 6-11, 11-2 in 65 minutes to play in the quarters.
On July 23, 17-year-old Hamza Khan won the World Junior Squash Championship in Melbourne. The young gun brought back the title to Pakistan after 37 years.
The whole country celebrated Hamza's title.
